Keeping the house clean with a toddler can feel close to impossible, but when it’s done it always feels so satisfying.

I am firm believer that the products we use in and around our homes are just as important as what we put in and on our bodies. It is important to me to use nontoxic cleaning products for a safer home. I want to keep my family as healthy as possible. You will notice that I try my best to use products that are EWG verified, and free of harmful chemicals and additives. A product with the EWG VERIFIED® mark means it has met the highest standards created in the interest of public health. You can learn more about that here.

Here are my Amazon must have nontoxic products that I continuously use to clean my house.

Multipurpose

White vinegar is a staple in our home. We use it to wash our fruits and veggies, kill weeds outside, deodorize the garbage disposal and clean the washing machine, as the rinse aid in our dishwasher and in our air conditioner to keep mold and algae from accumulating and causing a clog. That is just the tip of the iceberg of things you can use your white vinegar for.

Floors

My all time favorite product on this list is this vacuum mop. It has changed my life. I have dark hardwood floors that show every spec of dust. I used to sweep the floor, then Swiffer the floor and then mop. Now I can do it all in one step. Just fill the tank with water and a capful of vinegar and you’re good to go.

Third on my list of cleaning must haves is this Eufy robo vacuum. I have two. One upstairs and one downstairs. My upstairs is carpet and like I said, my downstairs is hardwood and it does an excellent job cleaning on both types of flooring. I am always shocked by how much dust this thing picks up. This also makes a great present. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Laundry

The next item on my list of must haves is Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater. Some stains including berry stains come out instantly right before your eyes. I have this large bottle, the refill and the mini bottles for my car, diaper bag and suitcase. Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Treater is nontoxic and made without peroxide, chlorine or phosphate. It is ph neutral, 100% biodegradable, safe for colorfast washable fabrics and made in the USA.

Next up is Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda. I add a few shakes in with every load of laundry. It can also be used to clean the kitchen, bathroom, upholstery and silver. Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda is 100% fragrance-free and phosphate-free washing soda that neutralizes and eliminates odors naturally without the use of heavy fragrances.

Dryer balls are next on my list of nontoxic must haves. Dryer balls can shorten drying time up to 40% and reduce wrinkles without the fragrance or chemicals of dryer sheets. These dryer balls are made of premium 100% organic New Zealand wool.

While we’re on the subject of laundry, this is the laundry detergent that we use and love. It is EWG verified. This detergent is free of phosphate, enzymes, dyes, artificial brighteners and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). I also love that they sell 160 load refills that come in cardboard. I have only bought this plastic bottle once and I refill it over and over.

Kitchen

These Scrub Daddy Dye Free sponges, Attitude Dishwashing Liquid and Attitude Dishwashing Tablets are what we use in the kitchen. They get everything off your plates, pots and pans.

I love these organic cotton reusable towels. They are meant to replace your paper towels, which is better for the environment and better for your wallet since you won’t need to buy paper towels anymore.

Keeping with the kitchen theme, I use this Attitude Kitchen Spray to clean my countertops daily. It smells great and doesn’t leave streaks or residue on my white countertops. Just like their detergent, it is EWG verified.

Bathroom

If you have glass shower doors then you need a squeegee and the Attitude Shower and Tile Cleaner. This will keep your glass looking clean and free from water spots.
