Turkey Baked Ziti
Tips for Perfect Baked Ziti with Ground Turkey
For extra flavor: Add some red wine to the meat sauce while it simmers for a deeper taste. About ¼ cup will do the trick.
Make it ahead: This dish is perfect for prepping in advance! You can assemble the ziti the night before and refrigerate it until you're ready to bake. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if cooking straight from the fridge.
Vegetable boost: Feel free to add some vegetables to the sauce for added nutrition. Spinach, bell peppers, or zucchini all work well.
Cheese choices: If you want to reduce the fat content even further, you can use part-skim ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, or opt for a dairy-free cheese substitute.
